Link: “Why say pundigrion when you could say pun?”

The MacMilland Dictionary blog has a great article: Why say pundigrion when you could say pun?

The article gives a nice insight in how the media unrighteously portrays lexicography. But the sole reason for reading the article is just one word. That one word makes it worth reading. Pundigrion.

There is a place for words like pundigrion. Chambers says it’s a ‘dictionary for word lovers’ and – just like stamp collectors or birdwatchers – word lovers are fascinated by what is rare or unusual.

Yes. Meneer D is one of those word lovers. A true collector. Hurray for pundigrion!
